This 120 mm outer diameter, 54 mm thick CBN diamond wheel with a 20 mm bore is made for shops that cannot afford frequent wheel dressing and replacement. The abrasive layer is formulated for wear resistance, so the working face keeps its profile and cutting aggressiveness through long production runs on knife and scissor blades in stainless steel, carbon steel, HSS and other hardened alloys. It is supplied as a matched pair, one left-hand and one right-hand wheel, so both grinding stations of the machine run with the same specification and produce symmetrical results.

Wear Resistance You Can Measure

• Wear resistant abrasive layer – the bond holds the CBN grit firmly in place, so the wheel wears by controlled self-sharpening instead of rapid breakdown, giving more parts per millimeter of abrasive.
• Stable form retention – the edge keeps its geometry over long runs, reducing the number of dressing cycles and the scrap caused by profile drift.
• Matched left and right pair – supplied one left-hand plus one right-hand wheel as a set, so both sides of the machine grind with identical geometry and finish, and you never end up with an unmatched single wheel in stock.

Built for knife and scissors sharpening: kitchen knives, chef knives, slicing and boning blades, tailor shears, fabric scissors, garden and poultry shears, hair clipper blades and similar edge tools. Because the two wheels are used as a pair on opposite ends of the spindle, they are matched for grit size and layer thickness so both sides wear at a similar rate and keep the profile symmetrical. For sharpening shops and blade manufacturers running continuous shifts, the wear resistant layer keeps the edge angle consistent blade after blade, which matters most on scissors where the two mating edges must close cleanly along their whole length.
