This 350mm electroplated CBN saw blade is purpose built for cutting rubber hose and rubber pipe reinforced with steel wire, where conventional abrasive blades burn, load or smear. A single layer of cubic boron nitride abrasive in a nickel electroplated bond cuts cleanly through the rubber wall and the steel wire beneath it in one pass, keeping the cut edge square and free of burrs.

Cutting steel wire reinforced rubber pipe is a punishing job: the rubber grabs the blade and the wire blunts it. An electroplated CBN rim solves both problems at once. The bond holds the abrasive in a thin, sharp layer that shears rubber instead of tearing it, and the CBN crystals stay aggressive on the steel wire much longer than aluminium oxide or silicon carbide.
