This tool is called Flex-Hone and is widely used in industrial deburring, platform honing, deglazing, polishing, edge blending and chamfering. It is a rod with protruding nylon wire containing hundreds of small abrasive balls. The abrasive in the nylon wire can be various abrasives such as boron carbide, black silicon carbide, green silicon carbide, brown corundum, white corundum or diamond.
Honing brushes have standard sizes:
Standard total length of rod: 200-500mm, length of brush: 60-150mm, diameter of brush: 20-200mm.
Common particle size of honing brush: 120#-320#
Recommended speed range for CNC milling machines for honing brushes: 500-1400 RPM.

Honing is a common process, similar to grinding, which is the processing of the inner surface of a cylinder, tube or hole after precision machining and grinding. It is the last process after grinding to obtain the precise shape and high-quality surface finish of the workpiece.
During the honing process, the workpiece is fixed, and the honing head is connected to the machine tool spindle in a floating manner. When processing parts, nylon wire can be bent arbitrarily, naturally fit the inner hole contour of the workpiece, and can grind uneven inner holes; it can enter grooves, cracks and other places that are difficult for ordinary tools to enter, remove burrs, and passivate sharp edges into smooth and uniform arcs, achieving the ideal effect of deburring, edge passivation and surface finishing. It can help you remove tiny burrs on the surface of the hole after finishing and improve the finish of the inner hole.
It can be used to process cast iron, hardened steel and bronze, and it is widely used to process cylinder bore, oil cylinder bore, valve bore and various gun bore in mass production.
Honing is mainly used for hole machining. In the process of hole honing, the original hole center is used to guide. Processing aperture range and depth can be customized.
